Jim Promessi is a dramatic California painter who exhibits throughout the state of California. He is a Golden State native who grew up in the San Fancisco Bay Area. Promessi's first love was the outdoors, and some of his fondest childhood memories are of hiking in the foothills of the East Bay in the springtime. Always drawn to art, he has worked to capture the beauty and clarity of those crisp spring days - first with the pastel medium and now with oils. Promessi's works are characterized by their bold color, harmonious compostions and vivid realism. They have been featured in a number of art publications, and he exhibits with the historic California Art Club. |
