Ariana
Richards is a young California painter who split her early years between
acting and painting. You may remember her as "Lex," the
young girl in the blockbuster Jurassic Park, but today she is concentrating
on forging a career as a fine artist. Richards grew up in southern
California and
on film sets around the world. She was tutored on the set, and early
on received instruction from Disney artist Ken O'Connor. She went
on to earn a B.S. in Fine Art and Drama from Skidmore College, and
also studied at Art Center College of Design and with a number of
private teachers including Ray Bustos, David Gallup and Dan Pinkham.
In recent years, she has been combining her interest in landscape
painting with her concern for the environment to draw attention to
the decline of open spaces in the Southland. |
