Jeff
Ward is a graduate of Art Center College of Design who is now dedicating
himself to the study of the Western landscape. Growing up in Idaho,
in the shadow of the Tetons, gave the young artist a love of the outdoors,
so painting the landscape has allowed him to combine his love of art
and nature. From his base in the San Gabriel Valley, Ward goes on
painting trips to the high desert or
the Sierra Nevadas. Early on Ward thought his chosen field would be
jazz rather than painting; it was only after he completed his mission
for the Church of Latter-Day Saints that he found that he was meant
to be a visual artist rather than a musician. He is in the Mentor
program of the California Art Club and is working commercially while
he builds a following for his landscapes. |
