Ryan Wurmser is a talented young figurative painter who has rapidly forged a national reputation. In the three years he has been exhibiting he has built a strong following among collectors for his compelling figurative paintings of captivating women and intense male characters. Working in a limited palette, Wurmser creates a sense of mood in each of his works by balancing passages of rich color with delicate gray tones. He is an exceptional draftsman and while his drawing ability is the foundation for his art, he also produces inspired drawings that are works of art in themselves. Wurmser is an outgoing, personable and energetic young man but a remarkably patient artist who may work for weeks or months in order to make a painting true to his original idea.
